As a new round of COVID-19 pandemic stroke Fuzhou, Concord University College has strengthened its pandemic prevention and control work in all respects according to the requirements of the Education Department of Fujian Province and local government. Under such a condition, CPC Party members of the faculty stood out to provide voluntary service for pandemic prevention and control. They are the embodiment of dedication and responsibility of CUCers.

As CPC Party Committee of Concord University College called on Party branches at various levels to strengthen their work in the fight against covid-19 pandemic and give full play to the exemplary-vanguard function, 17 pioneering teams were built up, with teacher and student party members reaching a total of about 900. These volunteers completed various tasks and provided collaborated efforts in epidemic prevention and control.

Volunteers from executive offices played an active role in nucleic acid sampling site. On October 30, 16 volunteers from executive offices helped to keep order at the sampling site; on October 31, a total of 42 teacher volunteers assembled at a 30-minute notice to provide service of personal information scanning and registration at the sampling site. There are also many teachers in the on-call list who will show up in case of emergencies. Volunteering teachers worked for long hours and greatly facilitated sampling work despite of bad weather conditions, reflecting their vanguard roles as CPC Party members.

Besides, as many teachers were restricted to their communities because their neighborhoods were labeled as high-risk places, some of them took part in community volunteering work, keeping order in nucleic acid testing sites, calling on residents to avoid gathering and helping the elderly to register their personal information. These teachers and party members showed their dedication and commitment to serving the people.

Concord University College promotes coordinated efforts in anti-epidemic work and teaching affairs. The Second Party Branch directly under the CPC Party Committee of CUC formed a teaching inspection team to supervise teaching activities so as to ensure teaching quality and learning efficiency. Department of Management took measures to make proper adjustment between on-line and off-line courses and held a seminar to discuss the social role of on-line teaching. Besides, a contest for best resumes was organized where students submit their resumes through Chaoxing teaching platform and got advice from teachers. Such activities helped students got substantial help in employment and ensured continuation of education.

Unity makes strength. CUC people, whether they are teachers or volunteers, never evade their responsibilities and commitments; they work in offices, classrooms, on-line classes and nucleic acid testing sites, making ordinary yet significant contributions to the war against epidemic.
